Why has sending naked photos become normal for young people?

It is very worrying indeed to read of Brighton-based anti-bullying charity Ditch the Label‘s recent study, which found that almost 40% of young people have shared a naked photo of themselves on a smart phone: a shocking if not altogether surprising statistic.

For many, the sharing of naked images is not entirely out of choice but out of acute social pressure, often from those with whom they are most intimately associated. A very sad state of affairs and a situation that appears to be on the rise.

In this brief interview, the BBC speaks with one victim of such online abuse.
